Having gone back and forth between titles over the past several years, CharlottesvilleFamily editors decided to return to 'Bloom"- but it needed a fresh look in keeping with the style refresh the rest of the brand had undergone.
Sticking true to the original design as much as possible, I simply cleaned it up and illustrated a flower in the new style of CharlottesvilleFamily. By extending the bar across the cover and allowing elements to pop over the edge, as well as opting for studio photography with clean backgrounds, I aimed to create a more exciting and contemporary visual.

These elements were then reconfigured to create a logo for the newly formed "Bloom Collective": A group of local parents who receive free tickets and exclusive access to family events, in turn creating content for the magazine around their family's experiences.
